6 reasons you need a small business website

Most of the small business focus on necessities and urgent matters, only spending money when they need to. So, it’s easy to see why some business owners might think a website is a luxury item they can afford to live without.

They might even believe a Facebook page is enough for an online presence, or that a sign with their phone number will generate calls, or that a traditional mailer will help them sell products. But the truth is, the only way to start promoting a business is by building a professional website.

More Customers

Seriously, guys, you shop is open let’s say from 9 to 5 and young people like me and you buy all they’re stuff at night or close to the night. How can I buy something from you when the shop is closed. Wait till the day and go to the shop? – No, I will just go to alternatives and buy what I need from them.

Customer support

Like my page, a customer support is a must. An online chat or just an e-mail contact form you need it. And don’t please don’t use just a messenger chat. Make it an alternative but don’t only use that. There are people who don’t like sharing personal information or use Facebook in general.

Your personal E-mail or – [email protected]

For someone, this may be something small but professionally when I see a business with something like @gmail.com, @hotmail.com or @yahoo.com it’s just a big no-no. A domain costs 10-20$ a year it isn’t that expensive.

Gives you a voice

This is a good and a bad thing. When you talk you need to know to whom are you talking and what are you talking. If you write something you just heard and think it is correct that is bad. Research everything.

A website has big benefits for local businesses.

I will only quote these guys and there is no point in telling anything else.  LocalVox reports:

“70 percent of U.S. households now use the Internet when shopping locally for products and services.”

You’ll show up in Google search results.

If you don’t have a website for your business, the chances of showing up on the search engine results page (SERP) are zero. But if you have a site, you can optimize it for search engines, thereby increasing your chances of appearing at the top of Google’s results and getting more visibility with potential customers.
