Training - Your team learns your site, not a textbook example
Generic WordPress tutorials waste time on features your team will never use. We train people on the site they actually manage - with the plugins they actually have, the workflows they actually follow, and the problems they actually encounter.
Programs - Four training tracks, one goal: independence
Each program targets a specific role and skill set. Most clients combine two or three tracks in a single engagement to cover their whole team.
WordPress Administration
Your team learns to manage WordPress confidently - users, permissions, updates, backups, and security settings. We cover the dashboard thoroughly so routine tasks stop being support tickets.
- User roles and permission management
- Core, plugin, and theme updates
- Backup verification and restoration
- Security settings and two-factor auth
- Media library organization
- Site health diagnostics
Site administrators, IT staff, project managers
WooCommerce Store Management
Hands-on workshops for the people who run your store day-to-day. Product management, order processing, inventory, coupons, shipping configuration, and reporting - all the operational knowledge in one place.
- Product creation and variant management
- Order processing and refund workflows
- Inventory tracking and low-stock alerts
- Coupon and discount configuration
- Shipping zones and rate tables
- Sales reports and export tools
Store managers, operations teams, customer service staff
Content Team Training
Writers and editors learn the Gutenberg block editor inside out - page building, reusable blocks, media handling, and the SEO fundamentals that make content discoverable without needing a developer on every publish.
- Gutenberg block editor workflows
- Reusable blocks and block patterns
- Image optimization before upload
- SEO titles, meta descriptions, and slugs
- Internal linking best practices
- Scheduling and revision management
Content writers, editors, marketing teams
Developer Onboarding
New developers get productive in your WordPress codebase faster. We walk through theme architecture, hook system, custom post types, REST API patterns, and your specific project conventions - so they write code that fits, not code that fights.
- Theme and plugin architecture walkthrough
- Action and filter hook system
- Custom post types and taxonomies
- REST API endpoints and authentication
- Build tools and deployment pipeline
- Coding standards and review process
New hires, contractors, junior developers
Formats - Three ways to deliver training
Pick the format that fits your team's schedule and learning style, or combine them. Most Professional and Enterprise engagements use a mix of live sessions and self-paced reference materials.
On-Site Workshops
We come to your office. Full-day or half-day sessions with your team, using your actual website as the training environment. Best for teams of 3-12 people who benefit from in-person interaction and live Q&A.
Details
- Half-day (4 hours) or full-day (7 hours)
- Up to 12 participants per session
- Hands-on exercises on your live site
- Printed quick-reference guides included
Remote Sessions
Live video sessions with screen sharing and remote access to your staging environment. Same depth as on-site, without the travel overhead. Sessions are recorded so absent team members can catch up.
Details
- 2-hour focused sessions (series of 2-4)
- Recorded for future reference
- Screen sharing with live exercises
- Follow-up Q&A session included
Self-Paced Materials
Custom documentation and video walkthroughs built specifically for your site. Step-by-step guides your team can reference anytime - particularly useful for onboarding new hires months after the initial training.

- Short video walkthroughs (2-5 min each)
- Tailored to your exact setup
- Updated when your site changes
Packages - Training tiers that scale with your team
Every engagement is scoped to your needs, but these tiers give you a starting point. We will adjust scope and pricing after reviewing your site and team size.

Need something specific?
Not every team fits neatly into a package. If you need training on a specific plugin, a particular workflow, or a topic we have not listed - tell us. We build custom training programs regularly for clients with unique requirements.
Recent custom programs have covered Multisite network administration, headless WordPress with Next.js, WPML translation workflows, and WooCommerce Subscriptions management.
How it works
- You describe the skills gap
- We audit your site and tools
- We propose a custom curriculum
- Training delivered in your preferred format
- Follow-up support and materials included
Our Approach - Training that people actually retain
Most WordPress training is forgotten within a week. We design sessions around repetition, real tasks, and reference materials that extend learning beyond the classroom.
- Your Site, Not Ours. Every exercise uses your staging environment with your theme, your plugins, and your content. Participants practice on the exact interface they will use tomorrow.
- Role-Specific Content. Editors learn what editors need. Store managers learn what store managers need. We do not waste a content writer's time explaining database backups.
- Reference Materials Included. Every session comes with written guides and screenshots participants keep. When they forget a step three weeks later, the answer is in their reference packet - not a support ticket.
- Follow-Up Support. Questions always come up after training. Every package includes a follow-up period where participants can email us directly with questions as they apply what they learned.
- Recorded Sessions. Remote and on-site sessions are recorded (with your permission). New hires can watch them months later, and current staff can revisit specific topics.
- Pre-Training Assessment. We survey participants before each session to gauge skill levels and identify specific pain points. This keeps the session focused and prevents experienced users from sitting through basics.
FAQ - Training questions
Have a question we have not covered? Reach out and we will give you a straight answer.
How do you tailor training to our specific setup?
Before every engagement, we audit your WordPress installation, review your theme and plugin stack, and interview key team members about their daily workflows. Training exercises use your actual site (on a staging copy), not generic examples. If your team manages a WooCommerce store with custom shipping rules, that is what we train on - not a demo store.
What skill level do participants need?
We adjust depth based on the group. Admin and content training assumes no prior WordPress experience. WooCommerce management assumes basic comfort with web interfaces. Developer onboarding assumes working knowledge of PHP, HTML, and CSS. We send a short skills survey beforehand to calibrate.
Can we combine multiple training topics into one session?
Yes, and most clients do. A common setup is a morning session on WordPress administration for the full team, followed by an afternoon split - content training for editors and WooCommerce operations for the store team. We help you design a schedule that makes sense for your group.
What happens when our site changes after training?
Self-paced materials and documentation packages include one round of updates within the first year at no extra cost. For larger changes - like a theme redesign or WooCommerce migration - we offer discounted refresher sessions for previous training clients.
Do you train on third-party plugins we already use?
If it is a well-known plugin (ACF, Yoast, WPForms, Gravity Forms, WPML, etc.), yes - we include it in the relevant training module. For niche or custom plugins, we review them beforehand and incorporate them if the documentation is sufficient. We will tell you upfront if a plugin falls outside our coverage.
